Man charged with taking indecent liberties with 2 boys | Crime

STEELE CREEK - A Charlotte man has been charged with indecent liberties with two young boys, police said.

The incidents with the two boys – ages 5 and 10 – took place over the weekend, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said in a report.

The boys were apparently at a home in a neighborhood near the intersection of York Road and Shopton Road West from Saturday evening to Sunday late afternoon when the incidents occurred, police said.

Wellington Rafael Perez, 41, was charged with felony indecent liberties with a child, police said.

Perez was arrested Sunday evening after voluntarily visiting with police for questioning, police said.
