Charlotte bank robbed twice in less than a week | News
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV)- Police are searching for a robber who may have hit the same bank branch twice inside of a week.
The FBI is searching for a man they say is responsible for a bank robbery near Mountain Island Lake Tuesday.
Investigators said the suspect entered the Wells Fargo branch on Couloak Drive, off Mount Holly-Huntersville Road at about 4:30 p.m., and then pulled a gun from the waistband of his shorts.
The gunman is described as a black male wearing a blue hat, white striped shirt, and dark shorts.
He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Almost the exact same thing happened five days earlier on July 26th.
In that case, the FBI said a man wearing all black presented a gun, and stole money from the teller before disappearing out the front door.
It's unclear if it was the same gunman, or if two separate men robbed the same bank branch.
No arrests have been made.
